A studio 54 makeup
For this photo shoot with my girlfriend Julie from the super arty Out of the woods, I decided to transform the pretty Efa in Grace Jones back in the 80's at Studio 54. You will see this series is super bright , but also very good for the mood. In the 80's, everything was permitted, it was crazy, the girls were over made up, the hair were over done and nude was blasphemy .... So I really enjoyed saturated Efa's eyelid in gold until the eyebrows, her cheeks in flaming fuchsia to the tops of temples and load her lips with a ultra pink vinyl. Perfect combination of her ebony skin. Not always easy to make up a very dark skin because it absorbs color and blow them dull or even make them invisible, so I tend to prefer intense pigment or touch of glows for a more natural makeup. I even out the complexion with sheer glow foundation Khartoum by Nars and slightly mattifiying with Dark Deep Mineralize Skinfinish Mac. I applied on the eyelids solid color of the cream eyeshadow Techno Gold by Shiseidoto that I smudged until the eyebrows (which I had already talk about in this vidéo). To highlight the eyes I stretched in the bottom, top lash line, and far away on the outer corner Caviar cream eyeshadow by Shiseido. On the cheeks to the temples, I applied the blush Coeur Battant by Nars which was a limited edition but can be beautifully replaced by Exhibit A, a must have perfect for fair to darker skin. A final touch, uh "touch" is not may not be appropriate for this makeup, I rather over glossed the lips with Siren by Michael Kors. Over made up but not vulgar, that's MakeMyBeauty ... Thank you to Julie from Out of the woods for the pictures and Efa our lovely model.
