Makeup Charlotte Tilbury

It's been months that I have to tell you about Charlotte...

For those who don't know her, Charlotte Tilbury is a celebrity makeup artist that make up superstars :

The lovely look of Kate Moss (her good friend) fro her wedding with Jamie

or

the flamboyant red lips of Blake Lively on the Red Carpets,

it's her...

Without considering the multiple superb cat eyes (her big specialty) done, among others, on Kylie M, Penelope C or Nicole K.

Her motto ?

"Give a woman the right makeup and she can conquer the world"

So it's very logically that Charlotte launches her brand in 2013, a range that she claims that is "easy to choose, easy to use and easy to offer"...

In fact, during a romantic getaway to London, I went to her boudoir at the Covent Garden, and I took pleasure to choose MY personal makeup set :

The Light Wonder Foundation

(available in 10 shades)

It's an ideal foundation for this of you that like light coverage.

I recommend it to you if you have little imperfections.

As for me, I prefer to wear it on Spring or in Summer when I have less redness to conceal.

The Retoucher Concealer

(available in 10 shades)

It's a correcting pen, ideal to blend the little imperfections and hide the redness, the shadows and the blemishes that haven't been unified by the foundation.

As for me, I chose the shade "Fair 1" that unfortunately turned out to be too light for me, I should have taken the shade "Fair 2" or event "Medium 3".

However, I can tell  that its texture is top and it gives a nice luminous and plumply effect to the skin.

I could compare it to the YSL Touche Éclat, with a more runny finish.

The Color Chameleon Eye Shadow Pencil

(available in 9 shades)

It's a large pencil, "chubby stick" type, ideal to make up the eye lid in a trice. It then lasts for 10hours without moving.

The shade that I chose, Bronze Garnet, is a coppery bronze, absolutely perfect pour green eyes.

It's typically the type of product that I would like to order in every shade for my Makeup Artist Pro palette and for our Studio, because :

1- it is super practical to shade the eye in a few stokes of a pencil.

2- It blends out very easily with the finger or with the brush.

3- It lasts very well

Especially as the shades have been thought for every eye color:

BROWN EYES :

The Dark Pearl shade, a mauvy pearled grey.

The Amber Haze shade, an bronzy ambered brown.

HAZELNUT EYES:

The Smokey Emerald shade, an dark emerald green.

The Golden Quartz shade, a golden bronze.

BLUE EYES:

The Black Diamonds shade, an anthracite grey.

The Champagne Diamonds shade, a champaign beige.

The Mesmering Mink shade, a mauvy grey (exclusively available on the Charlotte Tilbury site).

GREEN EYES:

The Amethyst Aphrodisiac shade, a purple for green eyes.

And so, the Bronze Garnet (the one I chose), a coppery bronze.

The Rock'n'Khol Eye liner

(available in 6 shades)

I chose it in the shade Barbarella Brown, a perfect intense brown in alternative to the traditional black.

And in the shade Eye Cheat, an universal beige to apply in the waterline to enlarge the eye.

The finish of this kholeis awesome, it combines the silkiness of a liquid liner and the strength of a khole.

And above all, its lasting is perfect, a godsend for the khole enthusiasts.

Here again, I'd be ready to order the other 4 shades for our Studio because they are so subtle and so needed :

Elisabeth Violet purple, the perfect purple for  green or hazelnut eyes.

Marlene Midnight, the smoked prune.

Bedroom Black, the true intense black.

Veruscka Mink, a taupy grey.

The Full Fat Lashes Black Mascara

It's a best seller in Charlotte Tilbury... It's said 5 in 1, but it mainly offers length, separation and volume.

I loved this mascara ( I talk in the past because I already finished it).

It's its brush that is particularly superb, it drops the perfect amount and its fine tip allows to catch ALL the lashes, without making it look clumpy from roots to tips.

The Stick Blush

(available in 4 shades)

I chose the "Moon Beach" an iridescent peach shade that gives the skin a glowy and healthy finish in a few minutes.

Its creamy texture melts perfectly on the skin... Howevers, it applies more easily on a non-powdered face.

It can also be used on the lips.

The other shades are more pinky and bronzy.

Anyway, a huge case of love at first sight for this range of Charlotte Tilbury.

As you can well imagine, I particularly approve the khole shades and the eye pencils.

Next step, I would love to test out the Bronzer & Blusher Palette  or the Brightening Youth Glow Primer that apparently, transforms in red carpet goddess... But also the To Mesmerise Cream Eyeshadows that contain a water infused formula and XXL pigments.

Oh and I still forgot to tell you that I had the chance to work with Charlotte 10 years ago, on the 40th anniversary show of the Sonia Rykiel firm. An awesome experience where by the way, I had the chance to see the famous Smoky and Cat eyes, Tilbury type, all that I love.

And you, have you ever tested the Charlotte Tilbury range ? What do you think about it ?

For info, the Charlotte Tilbury makeup is sold in France on the Feelunique site and the Net à Porter site.

    @CHARLOTTEGK
    Merci beaucoup;)
    @AUDREY
    Merci!
